scorched paper way

Music and lyrics by James Kruth
you fall asleep wearing
half my wardrobe
I can't even rise
to get the door

your open eyes are

kind of unnerving
for those who fought to stay

and do you miss all the

at least not in the sense we were before
oh, taking what we will
and laughing as we stumble to the floor

you drop your eyes and you
you finally realize
that there are no lies
just dreams that fade away

I start to smile
in understanding
the love you make
is the love you give away

oh, we drown in this parade
sinking into emptiness and gray
oh, I wonder if this place
eats away at me just so I...
